Alternatively, if you are seeking something more active, choose between an array of activities and excursions: snorkelling has to be our first pick when it comes to water sports on offer here, and the cooking and cocktail-mixing classes back on dry land are also not to be missed during a stay here.

Dining here is a treat, as the main restaurant ‘Koh Thai Kitchen’ serves a great selection of Southern Thai food and offers incredible views from its prime location up high on the hillside. For tasty Western and International cuisine, eat at ‘Pla Pla’ in a more laid back atmosphere. A highlight of this hotel is the opportunity to enjoy the fine food al fresco on the beach as it makes for a memorable and romantic dinner. Also not to be missed is sipping an expertly-made cocktail on the sand within twinkling lights at the ‘Cocorum Bar’.

We highly recommend this property if you are after sheer indulgence as the friendly and attentive team of staff here really are superb and attend to your every need. Your days here are bound to while away faster than expected as time flies when you are enjoying the picture-perfect beach and reclining around the glossy pool under the dappled shade of the coconut palm trees that sway in the breeze all around this idyllic resort.

To my mind, the greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is so familiar it is taken for granted.
