A series of eco-friendly riverside lodges on the banks of the Mekong River, this resort offers guests a 5 star service whilst remaining integral to the environment and community. With breathtaking vistas of the majestic Mekong, the resort is set within 3 hectares of naturally landscaped lands, home to rare flora and fauna. The villas are modern and spacious, with environmentally sound bamboo and silk furnishings and large private terraces, perfect to relax and enjoy the magnificent surrounding views. Guests are able to choose either Mekong River or Garden facing villas. The traditional sala includes an open air restaurant overlooking the river, offering western, Laos and Thai cuisine, and a lounge and bar. For relaxation, guests can take a dip in the infinity pool or have a traditional Thai massage in the hotel’s spa. Daytime and sunset river cruises are organised on the hotel’s own riverboat and bicycles are also provided to those who wish to explore the surrounding fishing and farming villages, or to head to the charming and laid-back Champasak town. The hotel can also organise other excursions such as a visit to the wet market in nearby Pakse, the stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site, Wat Phou, an elephant trek or a day trip to the spectacular 4,000 Islands with many beautiful waterfalls and a thriving coffee culture.

Getting to Amanpulo from Manila was very simple and the beach was the most beautiful I’d ever been on; pristine white sand, not a single piece of rubbish in sight. You get your own solar powered golf buggy to drive around resort (and a butler at request). The views from the Hillside Casita were spectacular!
