Nasu

The Nasu highlands are part of a 2000m high mountain plateau that centres on volcanic Nasudake, with well-loved hot spring spots like Yumoto and Shiobara Onsen dotted around it. As well as having excellent golf and ski facilities, it is a popular area for hiking.

In May, the azaleas bloom and can be views from raised boardwalks. In autumn, forested trails and the 320m Mamiji-dai suspension bridge leading to beautiful Mikaeri waterfall. The ropeway up Nasudake also affords excellent view back over the valley. With much to offer in every season, no wonder the Niki Club luxury boutique hotel decided to expand over 36 acres here.

Client Testimonials

I had a very lovely time and was looked after splendidly. My first visit to India could not have been better, save for being longer! But I shall return at some point and I shall look to you to make the arrangements.
- Matthew Nicklin, North India
So many highlights to choose from! The hotels were amazing but Maya Villa was a highlight… I loved just hanging out in the hammock reading my book and watching the peacocks chase the cows!
- Krista Weir, Sri Lanka
I would recommend Ampersand without any hesitation!!! The best travel agent that I’ve ever had. Everything – from the individual care and attention in planning the trip, through to the efficiency of the agents on the ground in India – was handled brilliantly. An absolutely first-class service all round!
- Matthew Annable, Rajasthan, India
