Beyond the Sky is one of Ampersand's Top 10 Winter Sun Trips.

This itinerary offers a completely different way of experiencing this wonderful Himalayan kingdom, exploring the two very different valleys of Paro and Punakha; one alpine, on tropical.

Perfect for both family holidays and honeymoons, Bhutan remains to this day an exclusive, romantic and adventurous destination, and the COMO Hotels, the beautiful Uma Punakha hotel and the well-loved Uma Paro hotel, are ideal havens from which to explore this enchanting country.

This 7-night tailor-made tour has been created for luxury explorers who want to fully immerse themselves into Bhutanese culture, Himalayan Buddhism, as well as mountain sports and activities including Bhutan's national sport, archery. Highly experienced, enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides will reveal the little-known wonders of their beautiful country. And all of this whilst enjoying some of the most attentive and intuitive service, the most mouth-watering food and heavenly spa treatments found in the highest mountain range in the world.

Our Bhutan specialists have travelled extensively throughout Bhutan on numerous occasions over the last 16 years, we have seen it change a lot in that time, and will be happy to discuss your holiday and tailor it to your individual interests and requirements.

This luxury holiday is purely a suggested itinerary. It can be booked as it is or alternatively used as a starting point for creating your own perfect tailor-made tour of Bhutan. If you'd like to see similar tours, take a look at our other Family Holiday itineraries as well as our Active Holidays and Honeymoons.

Client Testimonials

We really enjoyed the trip and were happy that we squeezed so much into a few short days. The Burmese people were lovely and the sites were fantastic. We really enjoyed the balloon ride and would highly suggest it to others in the future. The trip went super smoothly and a good time plus learning happened for all. Yangon was nice as the Strand was quite amazing and we of course loved the giant gold temple. Many thanks for all of your help and look forward to future travel with you.

Ballyfin was great - we loved it! Best things were the amount of space, it felt like you had the whole place to yourself, the history of the house, and the staff. We'd definitely recommend it. Thanks very much for all the help getting it booked!
- Mr Wyburd, Ireland
