Mrauk U Princess is the charming sister property to the Inle Princess Resort at Inle Lake, and is by far the best hotel option in Mrauk U in Myanmar's northern Rakhine State. It is situated next to the small rural fishing village of Aung Dat on the eastern banks of the Kaladan River, about six hours by boat from Sittwe. Set in its own private grounds, the Burmese-owned resort creates its own sustainable energy using locally-grown rice husks.

The hotel comprises of 21 ‘Village House’ style guest rooms with either river, rice fields or garden views. The rooms are very spacious and include a writing desk, coffee table and seating area, divan and a wardrobe containing a safety deposit box. The en-suite bathroom has a bath tub with hot and cold water and a standing shower room, and each room has a terrace overlooking varied landscape. The large restaurant offers a varied combination of both Burmese and Western cuisine. The resort has extensive development plans to build a new swimming pool and riverside bar, as well as developing and improving the current spa.
