We absolutely fell in love with Da Lat and our guide there, Phu, who was so generous in telling us the story of his family history... It was fascinating to be taken by him to see his own farm and drink a cup of home-grown coffee with him there (we were also blown away by the beautiful scent of the coffee flowers!)... All the guides we had were absolutely excellent and this added so much to the pleasure, satisfaction and appreciation of our sightseeing... So many highlights! However, in Savute Camp, probably seeing eight lions parade towards us single file, walk casually by the vehicle, continue to the water hole, rest, organise a hunt for the wildebeests at the other water hole, and watch them race towards the unsuspecting wildebeests. Truly a wonderful encounter!!! Of course seeing a pride of lions, two cheetahs and a leopard all on the same day was pretty spectacular, too!!! It was clear to me, especially from conversations with other people either during flights or from other camps, that our experience was superior to anything anyone else did or saw.

Our 3-week tour of India was truly an experience which merits a debt of gratitude to you and your team. From the minute we were greeted in Delhi to the moment we left Mumbai we never wanted for anything. The care, security and guidance provided by your team were magnificent! We had no experience of Ampersand other than their reputation but since our return we have made everyone aware that yours is a first-class organisation! The in-country support team was faultless. Led by Mr Mohammed Nazim in Delhi they performed beyond expectation. Mohammed managed to work his magic in ensuring we always had the best rooms and tables where ever we went! It’s no exaggeration to say that we felt like VIPs, being welcomed by the Manager at all our hotels and even being welcomed by the Manager at the Oberoi Agra, and that was just for dinner! We always felt safe and assured that support was there, unobtrusively, in the background. The local agents and guides were also first class. A special mention goes to Parmod Singh, our driver, guide and friend! Parmod is a credit to your organisation, he lives to provide exceptional customer care and in doing so exemplifies the often heard but seldom delivered mantra ‘the customer is God’! We cannot speak highly enough of Parmod from his charming greetings and welcoming smile to his boundless enthusiasm for the 17 days he took care of us. There is no doubt in our minds that the tour would not have been the same without him. So many highlights to choose from! The hotels were amazing but Maya Villa was a highlight… I loved just hanging out in the hammock reading my book and watching the peacocks chase the cows!
