If you have ever dreamed of sleeping under the stars but in style, this is the place for you. Galapita's four large mud huts are perched on top of the rocks alongside the Menik Ganga (Gem River) in the middle of the jungle. The huts are open-sided with straw roofs, clay floors and contoured driftwood as furniture. The perfect place to relax and get away from it all you can go prospecting for gems in the river or cool down in the natural Jacuzzi, created by the river rushing over the rocks. Yala National Park and the holy pilgrimage site of Kataragama are only a short drive away.
