At 3,450 metres, this lodge has a wonderful location, perched amidst pine forests overlooking the Dudh Koshi valley with breathtaking views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, the Taboche Peak and Khumbila, said to be the spiritual abode of the patron demi-god of the Khumbu region. There are 20 ensuite rooms with hot and cold water, reading room, drawing room, bar, restaurant and laundry service. Day excursions to the famous Sherpa monastery of Tengboche and the village of Phortse can be made from the lodge.
